Today Jeremy and I decided that we would brave the 85 degree weather and go for a run. We had not made a decision on how long we would run, which was definitely a good thing because we would have been even more disappointed in ourselves. About 1.3 miles later we stopped. It was way too hot. My body was just starting to adapt to the cold weather and now it must start over again and learn to deal with heat and humidity. There isn’t much to say today because it wasn’t much of a run. We walked up a hill and ran back to Mirror Lake, totaling 2 miles. Then we walked the rest of the way back. During the walk home, Jeremy said “I hate running”. I tried to convince him (and myself) that running is good because it is healthy, will keep one fit, and gives one goals to attempt to meet. So he (and myself) should not hate running. The half marathon is in October and we still have a lot of work to do.
